- 2 cups water
- 1 cup granulated sugar
Bring water and sugar to a boil and simmer for 5 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool. Place syrup in a spray bottle to spray onto cakes. The syrup may be kept for up to 1 month in the refrigerator.
Vanilla Simple Syrup
Add,the pulp and pod of ½ vanilla bean to the sugar and water and proceed as directed for Simple Syrup.
Flavored or Liquor Simple Syrup
You may also add different extracts, oil flavors or liquors to taste, this allows you to add a special touch too compliment the flavors of your cakes.
